Mom, Dad, and Family-
Last week was probably the toughest week yet. Cold, no one to teach, and tough. We saw a lot of less active people, which is fun sometimes but kinda depressing because they're usually just lazy people. But I'm still hanging in there and we just the other day met a lady who really seems to be looking for truth and is very interested in learning about the church.
Its crazy I've been out 5 months now!!! Unbelievable!! And Christmas day is my 6 month mark!! Time is going by slower though, I still feel like a senior companion and am in the mood for a little change. But we have a baptism next week, so that's good. We finally had a pretty good day Monday, taught a bunch of people. Its been awhile since I've really been able to teach the restoration, til monday we gotta teach two.
random stuff:
people out here would be mad dad didn't buy a US manufactured car. Nobody has jobs. And most of the jobs and economy out here revolves around the automobile industry. Most of our ward works for Ford.
Sister Tomolino is a kind old lady in the ward we visit. She asked for my address and phone # for when I leave and so I gave her it, I didn't even think she would call you!!! Haha thats funny, she has an awesome new york accent!
In terms of letters, I've been writing some of my friends at BYU as well as a few friends on missions, but the last 3 weeks have been pretty lame. I finally got the link letter, thanks for that, it was awesome!! Though I was expecting the BYU one as well, it was nice just to get a letter.
The only thing I'd like backed up is all my music on my laptop. I'm not sure of anything else too much.
Mom I heard nothing from Cameron about the football games last week!!! All I got was a sarcastic email from dad about BYU losing. And let him know I'm not allowed to look up the link he sent me.
I love you all! The work is the Lord's- its tough but its worth it!! Honestly the toughest thing is the companion. I mean the Lord helps you out in the work and stuff, but getting along with a tough companion is the worst.
But the church is true. This is God's kingdom. Jesus Christ lived and walked this earth, and I have loved reading the gospels, reading the accounts of his actual life and love.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!! I get to play football, though I'm jealous as the other elders in the ward get to go to the Detroit Lions Game!! There is a member in the mission who plays for the Detroit lions.
love,
Elder Connor Lambert
