Brother & Sister Lambert,
My husband and I are members of the church in Dearborn, Michigan. Dearborn, as you know, is Elder Lambert’s first area and we have had the pleasure of getting to know him and working closely with him as our new friend Susie has investigated the church and been baptized. We are sure that Susie will also want to reach out to you and let you know about the special experiences she has had in the past couple of months as she has met and been taught by your son and Elders Orton and VanBibber. Your son will always hold a special spot in her heart as “her missionary” much as the first elders that taught me some 29 years ago have a special place in my heart. The power of the gospel of Jesus Christ along with the Spirit that your son and his companions brought with them each and every time they taught Susie is what ultimately compelled Susie to commit to and be baptized. My husband and I have also been blessed as we have witnessed the basic doctrines of the church being taught with power and authority. The Spirit has touched our hearts along with Susie’s which has further strengthened our own testimonies. We feel grateful for having had the opportunity to have these experiences and to have the opportunity to be taught right along side Susie. We are grateful too for your son and his sweet and truly humble spirit. He is a dedicated and hardworking elder and is doing a great job in boldly declaring his testimony to the people in this area. His love for the Savior and His gospel is very evident. Elder Lambert is wise for his years, very articulate and bright but even more than that he is an awesome missionary. You should be very proud of him as we are certain you are.
Regards,
Denzil & Michele Allen
